A couple called Daniel and Danielle who were born at the same hospital on the same day have fallen in love and got married nearly 40 years later.
Daniel and Danielle Dawson, from Barnstaple, Devon, did not know each other until they both signed up to the dating website PlentyOfFish on the same day.
They had both been born at the North Devon District Hospital on January 24, 1979. But the pair, both 39, did not meet until they joined the website on the same day.
Then, incredibly, their first child was also born on the day of their first anniversary.

Lorry driver Mr Dawson said: ‘We were born at the same hospital on the same day.
‘She’s called Danielle and I’m Daniel so all our mail says “D Dawson” and we’re both nicknamed “Dan”. Before Danielle I wasn’t sure what was happening with my future.
‘I had relationships but nothing that was great, nothing that panned out.
‘It was the same for Danielle, things hadn’t worked out for her either. Then we both signed up to Plenty of Fish on the same day. She was the only person I met.’

Their relationship blossomed and they married in 2016 and now they have had their first child, Daisy, who arrived at midnight on their first wedding anniversary.
When they met the duo instantly hit it off, but both of them had an eerie feeling that they had met before.
Mr Dawson said: ‘It was love at first sight! We quickly headed in for coffee and didn’t stop laughing and enjoying each others company.
‘It then became apparent we felt like we’d met somewhere before. We racked our brains trying to figure out where and when we could have met.

‘I was from Bideford and Danielle from Barnstaple and we couldn’t make the link until we discovered that we were both born on January 24, 1979, at North Devon District Hospital.
‘Had we met as babies? It felt like we’d known each other for years – it was true love.’
The couple moved in together 12 months later and got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2015.
They got married on May 13, 2016 at Portmore Golf Park in Barnstaple – and, in September that year, nurse Mrs Dawson discovered they were expecting a baby.

Father Mr Dawson said that ‘Danielle and Daisy are my world, my life now feels complete’
Mr Dawson said: ‘It must have been fate – my life hasn’t been the same since before I met her, she’s my best friend, I’m her best friend, we literally do everything together.
‘We recently became parents but neither of us thought we would. I never thought I would achieve it, I never thought it would happen because it hadn’t happened before that.
‘I think Danielle was the same. I had come to terms with the thought that I would never be a father, but then I met Danielle.
‘At the stroke of midnight on May 13, 2017 – our first wedding anniversary – Daisy May Dawson was born and is the absolute light of our lives.

‘Danielle and Daisy are my world, my life now feels complete. We’ve got our own house, we’ve got our daughter, we’ve got our happiness.
‘Being the same age we will be ready for retirement at the same age too.’
Mrs Dawson said: ‘He’s an absolute sweetheart, within about two minutes of talking I knew it was going to be something special.
‘Just seeing his photo on his profile I thought, ‘aww bless him’. We asked our parents whether they recognised each other from the hospital but they didn’t.
‘We’ll be together forever, I’ve never met anyone where it clicks quite so well, he’s definitely my soul mate.’
