Danielle Armstrong shows off her shock weight loss

She confirmed her split from Daniel Spiller last month. 

And Danielle Armstrong, 29, has displayed her shocking weight loss following the demise of the relationship, as she took to her Instagram stories on Thursday. 

The reality star, who quit TOWIE for the Herne Bay football player, 35, at the beginning of their relationship last December, happily showed off her excess space in her once-fitted jeans as her pal informed her she ‘needed a size smaller.’

Clearing not concerned with shedding the pounds, Danielle stood to a side as she stretched out the jeans. 

Wearing a pretty baby blue bardot crop top, she proved that her high-waisted jeans were too big for her as she tugged at it to exhibit her tiny stomach.

Capturing the moment on camera, Danielle’s pal added commentary: ‘She won’t have it, but she definitely needs a size smaller. They’re far too big. Look at this, it’s ridiculous.’

However, Danielle didn’t seem to think it was a big deal, as she revealed: ‘I just need them taking in a little bit.’

Last month, the blonde bombshell confirmed the news of her split to Daniel on Facebook, explaining that the split was a joint decision and that she ‘was doing fine’.

Announcing the split to her fitness group, the dedicated reality star wrote: ‘Morning guys, before it starts circulating in the press like I’ve seen this morning I just wanted to let you know that me and Daniel have decided our relationship has come to an end but will remain good friends. 

‘He has helped me create this amazing group and I will always be grateful for that. I know lots of you are loyal fans of mine so I just wanted to let you know that I’m absolutely fine and excited for the next chapter in my life’. 

Danielle’s spokesperson confirmed the news to MailOnline. 

The news will no doubt come as a shock to fans as the beauty admitted that the retired footballer, who she began dating the beginning of last year, played a ‘big part’ in her decision to walk away from ‘TOWIE’.

Another factor was that ex-boyfriend James ‘Lockie’ Lock was still involved in the show and she felt it would’ve been awkward. 

She said previously: ‘A big part of it [her leaving] was because I’d met Dan. I thought, if I’m ever going to be able to make a go of any relationship, I’m going to have to take myself out of this situation. I really do wish James all the best and I hope he meets someone who’s perfect for him. If I saw him I’d probably say hi but I’m not going to give him any support or check how he’s getting on in the new series [of the ITVBe show].’ 

And, at the time, she said she wouldn’t return unless it’s a cameo appearance at her pals Georgia Kousoulou and Tommy Mallet’s engagement party. She explained: ‘I don’t think I’d ever go back as a character. It was 100 per cent the right decision to leave. I would only go back if Tommy and Georgia got engaged and had a party or one of the girls had a baby shower.’

In June she appeared to take a swipe at her ex-boyfriend James Lock, who she split from last year. 

The former TOWIE star seemed to take a dig at her ex, claiming her new beau was better in bed and describing her sex life with Daniel as ‘amazing’. 

Danielle and Daniel first went public with their romance in December and since then, the pair appeared inseparable.

Speaking about their relationship just two months ago, Danielle boasted about their bedroom antics in a recent interview with The Sun. 

Appearing to make a dig at her former partner James Lock, she revealed: ‘This is the best sex yet – it’s very good.’

Danielle went on to compliment Daniel on his sexual prowess, as she teased: ‘He knows what he’s doing… it’s amazing and I’m very happy.’

Things have been fraught between himself and Danielle since they have both moved on with other people.

James is now dating brunette beauty Yasmin Oukhellou and fans of TOWIE have since seen her make her debut on the ITVBe reality show. 

Danielle had quit the series before Christmas in a bid to put some distance between herself and Lockie. 

However, the former couple appeared to lock horns, as reports surfaced of Danni clashing with Lockie’s new love and becoming embroiled in a bitter feud.
