Danni Minogue posts touching tribute to Girl

It’s hard to believe it’s been twenty years since Dannii Minogue launched her album, Girl.

The singer sent her fans straight back into the 1990’s on Friday with a touching tribute via Instagram to her most critically acclaimed release.

‘#Danniversary: Girl turns 20 today. So much love for this album 20 years on #alliwannado #disrememberance #everythingiwanted’, she captioned.

‘Danniversary:’ Dannii Minogue launched her fans straight back into the 1990’s on Friday with a touching tribute via Instagram to her most critically acclaimed album, Girl.

Released two decades ago on September 8, Dannii’s third album was her most eclectic and helped her to break into the British charts with pop hits like ‘All I Wanna Do’, ‘Disrememberance’ and ‘Everything I Wanted.’

In a distinctly different sound to Dannii’s previous work, it showcased the 45-year-old as an artist with something to prove following the worldwide success of her older sister Kylie Minogue.

The album was released in 1997 and didn’t do well internationally, although it’s popularity spiked in 2007 following Danni’s appearance as a judge on The X Factor UK.

With copies even having to be reprinted due to the influx of demand, the album went on to be Dannii’s best-selling work.

Despite not releasing an album since 2007’s Club Disco, Dannii has recently dropped hints that a new record is on the way.
