Dannii Minogue, 50, reveals the secret to her youthful looks after stopping Botox in 2010

Dannii Minogue appears to be turning back the clock with her stunning good looks. 

And in an interview with The Sun on Saturday, the sister of pop superstar Kylie revealed the secret to her very youthful visage after stopping Botox back in 2010. 

The 50-year-old said it all comes down to good genes, with her grandmother Millie Jones turning 102 later this year, and has ‘ramped up’ her facial and laser treatments. 

‘My dad has really good skin, too. It’s obviously down to the boring things that we know are good for you – sleep, exercise, drinking water,’ Dannii told the publication.  

The pop singer said she’s ‘definitely had to ramp’ up her facial and laser treatments over the years.

‘I have terrible rosacea so I have laser treatment for it. It makes the skin so smooth and glowing and it helps with collagen [stimulation],’ she explained.

Dannii also revealed how sister Kylie’s breast cancer diagnosis in 2005 altered her approach to ageing, saying she’s now got a ‘real appreciation’ for life.

‘Growing old is a privilege. I realised that after going through Kylie being sick and not knowing if we were going to lose her,’ she said.   

Last month, Dannii’s long-serving hair and makeup artist Michael Brennan, who worked with her on this year’s season of The Masked Singer Australia, revealed more details about her beauty and skincare regimen. 

‘It’s a really nice thing to see that people are saying Dannii looks that good and fresh,’ he told Daily Mail Australia.

‘We work hard on keeping her skin looking really good. She follows a really good skin regime, which is really important,’ Mr Brennan added. 

‘Dannii cleanses her skin really well and uses moisturisers. She regularly has facials and looks after herself and is very well-maintained.’

Mr Brennan explained his trick to glowing skin is using an ultra cyclical cleanser followed by an eye mask before applying makeup.

‘It’s all about keeping the skin hydrated and glowing because the cameras and the lights suck the energy out of the skin; you have to keep it looking fresh,’ he said.

Mr Brennan’s celebrity clients include Britney Spears, Nicole Scherzinger, Delta Goodrem, Rose Byrne, Jessica Gomes, Megan Irwin Blake and Rita Ora.

He explained that after working with Dannii for more than a decade on various TV shows, tours and photo shoots, he has become her go-to hair and makeup artist.

‘The trick is knowing how Dannii is going to be lit [on camera] and where the lights are coming from and work accordingly with that,’ he said.

‘I don’t use anything that’s too reflective. I mean, I do around the eyes. Dannii loves a bit of glitter, she is the disco queen!

‘You know, we always laugh about it saying that when she sweats, she sweats glitter.’
