He has recently voiced his support for his daughter’s casting in ITV2’s forthcoming reality show Survival of the Fittest.
But EastEnders star Danny Dyer, 40, has said he would ‘do over’ anyone that upset her, and would hate it if a guy tried to sleep with her.
Currently in the wilds of South Africa, 21-year-old Dani has admitted that she’ll have to wait until after the show to find romance because she ‘wouldn’t have a daddy’ if she had sex on TV.
Don’t touch! Danny Dye, 40, threatens to ‘do over’ any guy that tries to sleep with daughter Dani, 21, on Survival of the Fittest…as she admits she wouldn’t have a dad if she had sex on TV
Talking with the Daily Star about the show, the brunette said that her father has told her to behave while she’s on the show.
She said: ‘I’ll even have to resist kissing and wait until I get out. He’s massively protective but I haven’t had many boyfriends so he’s had it quite lucky, until now.’
Dani also said that her dad has told her to toughen up, and that she can’t ‘melt around any boys.’
The aspiring actress added: ‘He knows they’re going to have their six packs out and I told him “just because you don’t have one.”‘
Support: Dani admits that while he harbours concerns about her move into reality television, dad Danny has always been her biggest supporter
Danny’s eldest daughter has also dismissed claims of turbulence in her parents’ marriage, just two months after the soap star reportedly moved back in to the family home.
The actor prompted speculation about the state of his marriage to childhood sweetheart Joanne Mas, who he wed in 2016, after leaving the Essex property and relocating to a rented flat in Borhamwood last July amid claims the couple were spending an increasing amount of time apart.
But Dani insists there has never been a rift in her parents’ relationship.
‘My parents are really strong!’ Dani has defended her ‘protective’ dad Danny’s marriage to Joanne Mas and revealed he has successfully quit alcohol
Cold turkey: ‘My dad doesn’t really drink anymore,’ she added. ‘He doesn’t drink’
‘My dad kind of got a place nearer to work,’ she told MailOnline. ‘He needed a place near EastEnders as he works late nights. But they are really strong – I mean they got married.’
And the brunette admits her father, who was absent from the National Television Awards in January, has also successfully quit alcohol after taking a protracted break from EastEnders and flying to South Africa in an attempt to change his lifestyle after a series of apparent meltdowns.
‘My dad doesn’t really drink anymore,’ she added.
Dani is hoping to kick-start her own career by competing on the new ITV2 show, a potentially gruelling battle of the sexes in which six girls will compete against six boys in a series of physical and mental challenges, all set in the sweeping African Savannah.

But an added twist will see loyalties pushed to the limit, with contestants given the opportunity to romance members of their opposing team.
However Dani, who will trade her parents’ comfortable home for a communal, purpose-built lodge with her co-stars during the show’s three-week run, admits her dad has already given her some typically blunt advice.
‘He’s given me a warning to behave,’ she said. ‘I was like, ‘I will!’ I am going to be as well behaved as I can. But he keeps saying to me to not be a melt around a boy. But it’s cool, he’s fine with it now.’
Recently employed as a barmaid – a role that echoes her father’s popular pub landlord character Mick Carter on EastEnders – Dani has previously made tentative forays into acting with small roles in low budget films We Still Kill The Old Way, Vendetta and Doghouse.

And she admits that while he harbours concerns about her move into reality television, he has always been her biggest supporter.
‘When I did my first film he cried the whole time he watched me because he’d never seen me act before, except in school plays,’ she revealed. ‘He said, ‘Is this something you want to do?’ And I said, ‘Definitely, for the rest of my life.’
‘He is really good. As I have got older he lets me do what I want to do and if I need him I can go and talk to him.’
But while her desire to take on Survival of the Fittest may well lead to broader recognition and greater scope for acting work, she concedes a part alongside her father is out of the question.

‘I don’t know about EastEnders, they wouldn’t let me in it,’ she admitted. ‘They won’t let me and are like ‘It ain’t going to happen.’ I think it’s because my dad is already on it so if I went on it there would be a massive outrage.’
With her protective parents watching from home, the brunette admits she’ll do her best to resist intimacy with her male contestants – but doesn’t rule out the prospect of romance away from her current living quarters.
‘I’ve got so many eyes watching,’ she said. ‘If I want a kiss I will have to do it when I get out. I mean, romantically if they like me they can wait for a kiss.
‘People keep saying to me you’re in there for a long time, and if I have a glass of wine or something I am flirty.’
Survival of the Fittest starts on ITV2, Sunday February 11.
