They last faced-off in the boxing ring nearly a year ago to the date.
But it appears Danny Green is expecting a possible rumble in the jungle when he comes face-to-face with rival Anthony Mundine.
Ahead of entering base camp on Sunday, the title-holding champion took to Instagram to say his ‘knees were knocking,’ and he was ‘starting to poop his pants.’
‘I’m starting to poop my pants’ Champion boxer Danny Green has said he’s knees and knocking and his starting to “poop my pants” ahead of entering the South African jungle on I’m A Celebrity on Sunday
In the short clip, he started: ‘Hey guys, tonight’s the night I’m finally heading into the jungle and I don’t know what to expect,’ the 44-year-old said.
‘My knees are knocking and I’m starting to poop my pants…can’t wait.’
A year ago, the pair famously took each on at Adelaide Oval in front of 27,000 people, with boxer Danny avenging his 2006 unanimous-decision loss.
The feud is being billed as a massive drawcard for the popular reality show, with Channel Ten releasing a second teaser clip of a meeting between the two of them.
The hard-hitting champions calling each other ‘pussycats,’ and appearing to challenge each other to a third title fight.
‘I’ll whip your a**e,’ Mundine tells Green.
‘Sometimes a spoiled child needs a smack’: Danny Green signals a ‘rumble in the jungle’ when he enters I’m A Celeb as he insists ‘I’m not afraid by that meek and mild little fella’
‘We could walk up the hill and do it now, Choc, no problems,’ Green responds as hosts Julia Morris and Dr Chris Brown and the other camp mates watch on.
‘I’m not doing it for free, I want to get paid for this,’ Mundine tells him.
But fans are expecting plenty of biff, with Danny telling BW magazine he wasn’t intimidated by his long-time competition.
‘I’ll whip your a**e,’: The pair had a feisty exchange in a second teaser clip released by Channel Ten
‘I am not in any way intimidated by that meek and mild little fella. He is acting like a spoiled child and sometimes a spoiled child needs a smack,’ he said.
When pressed further on his thoughts on his longtime rival, Danny continued: ‘Anthony Mundine is just fairly meek and mild, he is not a strong character and therefore that lack of strength shows in his behaviour.’
