Danny Ings arrived at West Ham training yesterday after undergoing a hair transplant for somewhere in the region of £17,000 in a London clinic.
The Hammers forward was pictured on the first day of pre-season action after getting a makeover with Mayfair Hair Clinic.
At the clinic, minimum hair surgery fees start at £12,000 and can reach beyond the £17,000 mark, with additional costs of £1000 for extras such as ‘surgical IV vitamin infusion’.
In the caption, a quote from the former England man reads: ‘A colleague recommended Mayfair Hair Clinic and they have exceeded my expectations – a level above the rest!’
Ings is seen in the picture, grinning away with bandages still stuck to the sides of his head while he shakes hands with a ‘Dr D’ to his right.

He is by no means the first figure from the footballing world to pay for a fresh head of hair.
In fact, it’s becoming the norm for many follically challenged British footballers.
Wayne Rooney, Andros Townsend, and Rob Holding have all previously had hair transplants.
Holding is the latest example and his transformation was remarkable.
The Arsenal centre-back now sports long luscious locks that he controls with a hairband having previously been severely receding.
Ings will be hoping the refreshment elevates his own level, having scored just three goals in 22 appearances in the 2022/23 season.

However, he was part of a gleaming year in West Ham history, being a member of the squad that won the Europa Conference League.

He will be hoping for a run in the side at the start of next season and is already back working hard.
The Hammers returned to begin preparing for the new campaign on Tuesday, with Ings seen lifting weights in the gym.
He was sporting a buzzcut, which looked thicker than previously on top.
