She stepped onstage with not one, but two puppets—the same that previously helped her advance through two different stages of the competition.

Flanked by the singing dummies—a diva rabbit named Petunia and a shy mouse named Oscar, Darci Lynne appeared to attempt to referee an argument between the two puppets about which one of them had proven the most useful during the competition.
After Oscar struggled with a bit of stage fright, he and Petunia compared their respective achievements, with Darci Lynne showcasing different voices for each of them.
Petunia bragged about earning the golden buzzer, a throwback to Darci Lynne’s stunning first performance on the show, during which she earned the distinction that sent her straight to the live shows.

That always helps: Darci Lynne then suggested Oscar and Petunia should sing a song together, and picked the Beatles classic With A Little Help From My Friends
Loving it: Judges Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel all rose from their seats to give Darci Lynne a standing ovation
Oscar, meanwhile, pointed out that it was after performing with him that Darci Lynne earned her spot in the semifinals.
In a bid to get the two of them to stop fighting, Darci Lynne told them to act like famous duos, such as Laurel and Hardy.
Petunia drew laughs from the crowd by adding her own example and asking: ‘Simon and Mel B?’ in a cheeky allusion to Simon Cowell and Mel B’s spat last month after he joked that her wedding night had ‘a lot of anticipation, not much promise or delivery’.
Darci Lynne then suggested Oscar and Petunia should sing a song together, and picked the Beatles classic With A Little Help From My Friends, written by Paul McCartney and John Lennon for Ringo Starr.

The two puppets asked Darci Lynne to ‘stand there with [her] mouth closed like [she] always [does]’, and that’s exactly as she appeared to do as she delivered a breathtaking version of the 1978 hit.
Darci Lynne amazingly managed to continue to alternate between the dummies’ different singing voices, with Oscar’s husky delivery complementing Petunia’s powerful vocals.
Judges Simon, Mel, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel all rose from their seats to give Darci Lynne a standing ovation.
