Tense moment daredevil CATCHES knife in mid-air without cutting himself as friend throws it at target

This is the incredible moment a daredevil catches a knife mid-air as it is being thrown at a target.

The clip, taken in Loveland, Colorado, shows knife thrower Cody Cooper catch the blade after it was thrown towards his home target range.

He posted the clip to Instagram saying he ‘only got poked by one’ but it ‘didn’t hurt at all’.

The video first shows Mr Cooper fail to catch the soaring blade after it is thrown by his companion Scott Fernandez.

He then tries again but misses the knife a second time.

In the third attempt, shown in slow motion, Mr Cooper perfectly grabs the blade by its handle without cutting himself.

He seems to freeze in disbelief for a moment before standing up straight in the footage taken in April.

The next clip, taken from a different angle, shows Mr Cooper catch the blade again before looking into the camera and spinning it between his fingers. 

Mr Cooper said: ‘I practice for many hours a day to get these shots right and many require multiple attempts. 

‘Never giving up is crucial and there is a substantial amount of dedication involved. I am getting better with every throw, and that motivates me to keep going.’
