A daredevil slackliner completed a nerve-wracking walk from the Eiffel Tower while suspended nearly 200ft above the River Seine.
Trapeze artist Nathan Paulin balanced barefoot on the tiny rope while making the 2198ft crossing from the iconic Parisian landmark to Trocadero square on the other side of the river.
Stomach-churning pictures show the 22-year-old – who holds several slacklining world records – dangling upside down as excited crowds watch from the street below.

Mr Paulin hung upside down while suspended above the Paris streets and even posed for a thumbs up picture while part way across
Mr Paulin inched along the wire while the Eiffel Tower loomed in the background and completed a world first for this length of crossing in an urban environment.
During a practice run the stuntman tumbled off the rope 260ft from the finish – but when the pressure was on and the live TV cameras were recording he managed to make the crossing.
The nerve-wracking stunt was part of the 31st Telethon to raise money for research into rare diseases.
Nearly 50 events took place in Paris on the day including concerts and sports events.
