Daryll Neita misses out on winning a medal in the women’s 100m final at the Paris Olympics – as Saint Lucia’s Julien Alfred

Daryll Neita has missed out on winning a medal in the women’s 100m final at the Paris Olympic Games as Saint Lucia’s Julien Alfred clinched gold with a time of 10.72.  

Sha’Carri Richardson, of the USA, took second place, while Melissa Jefferson edged Neita, who came fourth, by 0.04 seconds, to win bronze.

It came after gold medallist Dina Asher-Smith had missed out on qualifying for the final after she placed fifth in her semi-final heat.
