Dashcam: Driver on LSD, car flies into second floor office

Dramatic dashcam video shows the moment a driver, high on LSD, catapults their sedan off a center median and flies into the second story of a dentist’s office in California.

The mind boggling accident happened around 6:21am in Santa Ana, California. A bus’s dashcam video captured the terrifying moment when the car caught air directly in front of it on 17 St.

Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna told KTLA the driver said they was high on LSD when their car went flying, but police are still waiting the full toxicology results to see if any arrests will be made.

Two people survived a car crash that launched their vehicle into the second floor of an office building in Santa Ana, California on Sunday morning

According to the transportation authority, the bus immediately pulled over and waited for authorities to respond.

The video, released Monday, shows the bus on Route 60 passing under the 5 Freeway overpass on 17 St before the sedan crosses over the opposite lane- in the air- and into the second floor of the dentist’s office, which was empty at the time of the incident.

Diego Sartori, who was staying in a nearby motel, said at first it was unclear there was a passenger in the car after the driver, whose face was covered in blood, had been rescued.

He said after the driver was safe, the car began to shake, and that is when first responders realized there was someone still stuck inside.

‘We were yelling at the passenger to not move so that the car wouldn’t fall out of the building,’ Sartori said.

The incident was also captured on surviellance video by a camera at a nearby hotel as well.

CCTV footage taken at 6.21am shows the car flying in front of the passing bus.

That footage was recorded on CCTV camera at the nearby Aqua Motel before being uploaded by Fox News.

Investigators told the LA Times that the white Nissan Altima was speeding when it struck a center meridian, causing it to became airborne.

The crash caused a small fire at the point of impact, on the second floor, which was quickly extinguished.

Then the rescue team went to work, to get that other individual safely out of the vehicle.

‘USAR was able to access the passenger door,’ a spokesman said.

‘They used a front loader from the city of Santa Ana to stablize the vehicle and the members of USAR were able to gain access and pull the vicitm out from the passenger side of the vehicle safety.’

The two individuals involved in the crash have yet to be identified. No one was in the building at the time of the crash.

One person was still trapped inside the vehicle as of 6.45 am Pacific, OCFA said
