Dave Grohl acts snappy and irritated in resurfaced Wimbledon clip of last outing with wife Jordyn Blum before he admitted cheating on her and fathering secret love child

Dave Grohl’s fans were shocked on Tuesday after he admitted to cheating on his wife and fathering a secret love child with another person.

And now video has resurfaced of what appears to be the most recent time that the 55-year-old Foo Fighters frontman was spotted in public with his wife Jordyn Blum, 48.

The rocker was spotted by a BBC Sport reporter who proceeded to quiz him on his predictions for the winners of the Wimbledon Championships, which took place in July in London.

Many of the spectators were excited to catch the high-profile matches, but Grohl sounded annoyed and dismissive as he walked past the reporter and offered gruff, clipped responses.

Several commenters on the TikTok clip at the time noted that the usually gregarious Grohl was in an unusually foul mood, with one summing it up: ‘Dave has been acting slightly p***y recently.’

Dave gave gruff and clipped answers to a BBC Sports reporter, and one TikTok commenter summed it up: ‘Dave has been acting slightly p***y recently’

‘Dave, can I quickly get your prediction for a Wimbledon winner, please?’ the interviewer asks as he holds a microphone out to the drummer-turned-guitarist.

‘What?’ Grohl says with a quizzical look on his face.

‘Who do you think is going to win Wimbledon?’ the reporter rephrases himself, to no avail.

‘What?’ Grohl says again with the same exaggerated expression, though he appears to break into a slight smile at the last second.

‘Who’s gonna win?’ the determined reporter continues. ‘How about the men’s [tournament]?’

‘No clue,’ Grohl responds in a less dismissive manner while walking past with his wife Jordyn by his side.

‘The women’s [winner]?’ the reporter adds.

‘Couldn’t say,’ the singer shoots back before heading on his way.

It wasn’t just Grohl’s behavior at Wimbledon that was surprising, but also his attire. He’s known for favoring rocker attire, but the former Nirvana drummer looked shockingly debonair in a navy blue striped suit with peaked lapels.

He favored a classic white shirt and wore a yellow-and-black patterned tie with a tasteful knot, along with classy tortoiseshell-framed glasses, though he dressed down the look with a pair of tan Dolce & Gabbana loafers that looked out of place with his dressy outfit.

Jordyn looked stylish in a lilac blazer and matching midi dress.

Several fans defended Grohl against claims that he was acting ‘pissy’ during the brief clip.

Some fans speculated his awkward encounter was due to the death of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, who died in March 2022, as well as the death of his mother in August of that year.

Some fans speculated that Grohl was merely trying to be humorous with his short responses and his apparent confusion about what the interviewer was asking him, possibly due to his accent.

But others suggested he may have avoided answer because he was ‘clueless about tennis.’

‘He’s not being pissy he simply hasn’t a clue about who is playing etc.,’ one fan suggested in the comments.

While some suggested that Grohl could have more politely brushed off the reporter, other commenters claimed parasocial fans would have found something to be upset about by any response he gave.

Grohl doesn’t appear to have made any joint public appearances with his wife since the tennis tournament.

Although he admitted to having cheated on Blum in his statement on Tuesday, there was any indication of when the existence of his love child was revealed to her, or what the current status of their marriage is.

‘I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her,’ Grohl announced to his 1.4 million followers on Instagram.

‘I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together,’ he concluded the brief post.

Grohl and Blum met in 2001 and have been married since 2003.

The couple share three daughters: Violet, 18; Harper, 15; and Ophelia, 10.

Following his announcement that he had fathered a child outside his marriage, his two older daughters both took down their social media accounts.

His admission about marital infidelity followed an admission to The Guardian in 2007 that he had also cheated on his first wife, Jennifer Leigh Youngblood.

The two married in 1994 but had separated by 1996, and they divorced the following year.

In the same Guardian interview, Grohl said: ‘[My wife] Jordyn and [daughter] Violet are anchors that keep me from completely disappearing.’

Speaking to TIME in 2012, he said his family ‘changed everything that I do.’

He added: ‘It’s changed everything that I do. When you have kids, you see life through different eyes. You feel love more deeply and are maybe a little more compassionate. It’s inevitable that that would make its way into your songwriting.’

While little is publicly known about Blum, People reported she once appeared on the cover of Teen, after being discovered at a supermarket when she was 12.

She was reportedly working as a producer at MTV when she met the frontman.

But Grohl told Elle in 2007 that he was not ready for a serious relationship when they first met, and stopped calling Blum after a few dates.

He shared: ‘After three months, I had a revelation and called her back. She picked up the phone and said, “Oh, I never thought I’d hear from you again.”‘

Blum has collaborated wit the Foo Fighters several times, including in the band’s 2002 video White Limo, where she made an appearance.

She also co-directed the Foo Fighter’s 2002 Walking a Line music video.

Grohl made headlines earlier this summer when he publicly blasted Taylor Swift, suggesting the singer doesn’t sing live.

The Foo Fighters frontman took a swipe at the pop queen, dubbing her sell out tour the ‘errors’ tour while quipping that his band ‘actually play live’.

While performing at the London Stadium, he referred to Swift while she was playing the same night on the other side of the capital in Wembley – to boos from some fans.

He addressed the crowd: ‘We were joking about the Taylor Swift tour earlier. I know that she’s on her ‘errors’ tour.

‘I tell you man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift.

‘So we like to call our tour the Errors Tour.

‘We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few f***ing errors as well. Just a couple.’

The band leader clarified: ‘That’s because we actually play live. What?’

To great cheers, he continued: ‘Just saying. You guys like raw live rock ‘n’ roll music right?

‘You came to the right f***ing place!’

In August, Grohl also made his political leaning clear- after saying that any royalties earned from Donald Trump using one of songs will be donated to the Kamala Harris campaign.

The former president used the band’s 1997 song ‘My Hero’ as he welcomed Robert F. Kennedy to an Arizona rally after the independent candidate endorsed him.

In response, the band said in a statement to Billboard: ‘Foo Fighters. were not asked permission, and if they were, they would not have granted it.’

It added that ‘appropriate actions are being taken’ against the Trump campaign and that royalties received would be donated to the Harris/Walz campaign.

In response to being asked by an X account if the band had let Trump use the song, they simply replied: ‘No.’
