Dave Grohl recalls referring to Jordyn Blum as his ‘future ex-wife’ when they first met years before revealing secret love child

Dave Grohl referred to his spouse Jordyn Blum as his ‘future ex-wife’ when they first met.

The 55-year-old rocker, who admitted to cheating on Jordyn, 48, and fathering a secret baby girl, in an interview with Q magazine recalled meeting her for the first time in 2001, according to an article on Tuesday by Us Weekly.

The Foo Fighters frontman shared that he was with late bandmate Taylor Hawkins at the Sunset Marquis whiskey bar in West Hollywood, California.

‘Taylor was the looker. I mean, girls would send him drinks,’ Grohl told the magazine in 2007.

‘Some bombshell comes up and starts talking to Taylor. I was just out of a Tenacious D session. I’ve got Vans trainers on, no socks, dirty shorts and a dirty T-shirt, surrounded by beautiful Hollywood,’ he added.

Grohl explained that Blum was a friend of the girl, who invited her to join them.

‘I was like, ”Oh my, God. Not a chance!” So I’m just having some drinks and acting like a jackass. And by the end of the night I was pissed and I’m staring at her going, ‘You’re my future ex-wife,’ he said. ‘So she gave me her number: ‘Jordyn, your future ex-wife.’

Grohl added that they ‘saw each other a few times’, but he ‘backed out’ after realizing it was ‘the flag, the finish line’.

Blum and Grohl rekindled their romance and got married in 2003.

Hawkins died at age 50 in March 2022 of a ‘cardiovascular collapse’ from a drug binge while the band was on tour in Colombia.

Grohl revealed on Tuesday on Instagram that he had a secret love child.

‘I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,’ he wrote.

‘We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together,’ he concluded.

Grohl and Blum have daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10, together.

The Seattle band Foo Fighters was founded in 1994 by Grohl as a one-man project after the breakup of Nirvana.

Hawkins joined the band in 1997 as drummer and shared vocals with Grohl.

Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain died of suicide at age 27 in April 1994.
