Dave Hughes brands Chris Hemsworth ‘insecure’ and ‘desperate for reassurance’ as very surprising celebrity feud erupts

Comedian Dave Hughes has slammed Chris Hemsworth, accusing him of being deeply insecure.

On his 2Day FM breakfast show Hughesy, Ed, and Erin, the radio host, 52, responded to a recent Instagram post by Hemsworth.

In the post, Hemsworth, 40, shared a video of his daughter India watching one of his movies while enjoying the luxuries of a first-class cabin on a flight.

The Hollywood hunk then swung the camera around and winked at the audience. The video was captioned the post with ‘I swear it was her choice.’

But Hughesy sounded off on the star, admitting ‘I think Chris Hemsworth is deeply insecure and I am basing that off his Instagram.’

‘I am here to say, Chris Hemsworth, your Instagram makes you appear desperate,’ he added.

His co-hosts then laughed at the outburst and accused Dave of doing similar ‘desperate’ posts about his kids on social media.

‘I am really desperate,’ Hughes admitted. ‘I put photos up of my kids, I get 30 likes, he’s had 1.6 million likes.’

Hemsworth enjoys 58 million followers on his Instagram account.

Hughes, who boasts just 246,000 followers on his own account, did come to Hemsworth’s defense after he was criticised for showcasing he is wealthy enough to fly first class.

‘That is ridiculous,’ the comedian said.

But Hughesy did not find the video very cute, saying 'I think Chris Hemsworth is deeply insecure and I am basing that off his Instagram. I am here to say, Chris Hemsworth, your Instagram makes you appear desperate'

India already has an acting stint under her own belt after she starred alongside her father in Thor: Love and Thunder as the daughter of Gorr (Christian Bale).

However, it wasn’t the first time the budding actor appeared on set with her movie star father.

The Aussie actor shared a tribute to his daughter last year, posting two photos of himself and his daughter on the set of two different Thor movies 11 years apart.

The first photo from 2012 shows a 6ft 3 Chris, in costume staring lovingly at infant India on the set of Thor: The Dark World.

The second shows Chris embracing his little girl as they film their scene together in the recently released Thor: Love and Thunder.

‘She’s my favourite superhero,’ he sweetly wrote in the caption.

Despite her promising acting talent, Chris said he doesn’t want his daughter India to go into acting this early in her life.

The hunky Hollywood star said he wanted his eldest child to have a childhood’ for now, but he is open to her pursuing the craft when she’s older.

‘I want her to have a childhood and I think so does she,’ he told ET Online.

‘I said, “There’s plenty of time, sweetie. Go to school, horse ride, have fun, be a kid.” Because once the train moves, it’s pretty hard to get off, and you miss a lot of things.’

Chris went on to say he’s happy to support India in her acting endeavours ‘if she’s keen to do more things’ when she’s older.
