Dave Portnoy claims he has special treatment over Taylor Swift before attending Knicks vs Celtics tonight

Barstool boss Dave Portnoy claims he would have special treatment over Taylor Swift if she wanted to attend the Boston Celtics playoff game against the New York Knicks on Wednesday night.

Portnoy is arguably the Celtics’ most-famous fan and has been courtside for several of the teams’ important teams in recent memory, including last season’s NBA Finals. 

The Barstool founder will be courtside at Boston’s TD Garden with the Celtics on the brink of playoff elimination tonight with a guest, which could be new girlfriend Camryn D’Aloia.  

Swift has not shown an interest in being at the game, as she’s stayed low-profile since the Super Bowl with Kansas City Chiefs boyfriend Travis Kelce. However, that did not stop Portnoy from asserting his status over the 14-time Grammy winner.

‘I laid out a scenario, let me lay it out,’ Portnoy said. ‘The schedule of the series comes out. I say, “Hey, I can get there for Game 5, can you reserve two for me for Game 5?” Yup, now, they’re all booked.’ 

‘Taylor Swift calls two hours before the game, we have no tickets. They’re not moving me. Someone else may get moved, but if it comes down to me and Taylor at that spot, they’re not kicking me out.’

One of his Barstool co-hosts asked Portnoy Wednesday if they both requested the last courtside seats at the same time if Swift would trump his New England heritage and take the chairs in Boston. 

‘I honestly don’t know the answer to that question,’ Portnoy added. ‘They’re loyal. I’m telling you, I’m not tooting my own horn.’

Swift’s attendance at sporting events has been mostly based around Kelce participating, and sometimes joining her in the crowd. 

Kelce, Swift, alongside friends Patrick and Brittany Mahomes, attended last year’s US Open men’s final in New York City, before indulging in a lavish Mediterranean dinner.  

Swift and Kelce returned to New York the following month for a Yankees playoff game against the Cleveland Guardians. 

Portnoy has been confident of a Celtics comeback against the Knicks, which appears to have faded since Jayson Tatum’s Achilles injury at the end of Monday’s Game 4.
