Dave Portnoy rejected Kamala Harris interview requests – and insists he’d turn Donald Trump down too

Barstool Sports chief Dave Portnoy has revealed that he rejected a request from Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign to appear on one of the media company’s popular podcast shows.

Portnoy claimed that the Democratic candidate, who recently appeared on Alex Cooper’s ‘Call Her Daddy,’ asked to be featured on three of Barstool’s podcasts, including ‘BFFs’, ‘Jack Mac’ and ‘Pardon My Take’.

However, the 47-year-old confessed during an appearance on The Unnamed Show he couldn’t remember if he even responded to the Vice President’s team.

The American businessman, who has been outspoken in his opposition of Harris on social media, admitted that he would also turn down requests from her rival for the White House, Donald Trump.

‘They reached out – who knows if they would have even researched it,’ Portnoy said, referring to Harris’s camp.

Dave Portnoy claimed that he rejected interview requests from Vice President Kamala Harris

‘They asked to do BFF, Jack Mac, which is just nuts, and PMT [Pardon My Take],’ he continued, listing three of Barstool’s top shows. ‘I don’t even know if I got back to them.’

However, Portnoy did then admits that he was aware that Pardon My Take had declined and that he had rejected the offer on behalf of BFFs, the podcast he hosts alongside Brianna LaPaglia – popularly known as Brianna Chickenfry – and TikTok influencer Josh Richards.

‘First of all, I don’t think I’d want to do it,’ Portnoy explained. ‘Second of all, if I were going to do it, I wouldn’t do it with other people because my opinions on politics aren’t theirs.’

‘My issue with Trump or Kamala,’ he continued, making a conscious effort to correct his pronunciation of Harris’s first name, ‘is, if you’re asking people things and they’re answering them and you don’t know if the answers are true or not and you don’t have enough information to push back, that I don’t like.

‘I’m just not deep enough and you don’t know what to believe. I don’t want to be lied to and not have ammunition.’
