David and Candice Warner go to Disneyland Paris amid Ashes nightmare

What form slump? David and Candice Warner are all smiles during family trip to Disneyland Paris amid cricket star’s ongoing Ashes nightmare

He’s in the midst of one of the worst form slumps of his stellar cricket career.

But David Warner, 36, appears to have put his troubles on the pitch behind him for the moment.

The under siege opening batsman was all smiles this week after treating his wife Candice, 38, and their three daughters to a trip to Disneyland in Paris in between tests.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Candice posted happy snaps of the couple and their three girls enjoying the best the famed tourist destination has to offer.

One photo features the couple and their daughters – Ivy Mae, Indy Rae and Isla Rose –  posing in front of Disneyland Park.

Another cute pic shows a relaxed Candice and David, dressed for Summer in shorts and T-shirts, sharing a hug in front of Disneyland’s famed Castle.

Candice appeared to be in a holiday mood in the photos, as she can be seen sporting a colourful Mickey Mouse hat.

David, sporting a three day growth, did not wear any mouse ears for his trip.

But one photo shows he was relaxed enough to jump into a spinning cup ride with his daughters.

Candice included a gushing thanks to Disneyland Paris in her caption.

‘Disneyland Paris we love you. The most wonderful day out for our family,’ she said.

David certainly seemed to need the break after Australia’s loss to England in the Third Ashes Test last week.

There is intense pressure for the champ to be dropped following another poor Test performance.

David’s position is again in question as he faces scrutiny after falling prey to Stuart Broad’s bowling on two occasions within seven balls during Australia’s three-wicket Ashes loss at Headingley.

He’s had a few decent starts and landed a half-century earlier in the series, but David has yet to deliver top runs that would secure his role before his planned retirement in January.

The speculation on David’s future has been further heightened by a post from his wife Candice after the Headingley Test.

‘The end of an era for us touring with test cricket, it’s been fun. Forever your biggest supporters and your girl gang. Love you @davidwarner31,’ she posted on Instagram along with a family photo at Headingley.

Some took the post as a sign that Warner is set to retire from cricket prematurely, despite signalling his intent to play on with an Aussie home summer swansong.
