David Beckham is back in Los Angeles ahead of Inter Miami’s showdown with his former team LA Galaxy on Sunday night.

The Miami co-owner enjoyed five years as a Galaxy player at the back end of his career, helping the club win two MLS Cups before heading to Paris Saint-Germain for the final stop of his legendary career.

However, this weekend he is battling against his old club as Miami look to make it two wins out of two this season against LA on Sunday night.

Beckham was seen arriving at Dignity Health Sports Park a few hours before kickoff, signing autographs, posing for photos and walking on the very turf he used to ply his trade on over a decade ago.

The likes of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez are aiming for their second straight MLS win after getting up and running in a 2-0 victory over Real Salt Lake City on Wednesday night.

Suarez was making his debut for the side after completing a move from Gremio at the end of December, with the former Liverpool and Barcelona striker teeing up Diego Gomez for their second goal of the night.

Though at the end of the night, Suarez was seen walking with a noticeable limp in the latter stages of the team’s season-opening win.

He has not hidden the fact that he struggles to play regularly because of a knee issue that has plagued the latter stages of his career.

But despite a grueling pre-season tour around the globe and a lack of rest, Tata Martino hinted he would not be rotating for the weekend’s trip to California.

And both Suarez and Messi were subsequently named in his starting lineup on Sunday night.

‘Most of the changes we had to make were for physical issues,’ Martino said about potentially resting his big names.

‘Maybe we have to look at that but not for the second game of the season. No, no, no.

‘We are just starting to compete. Hopefully they will all be fine by Friday and whoever is ready will travel.’
