Chelsea are set to be without David Luiz for their Premier League crunch match with Tottenham on April 1 with the defender still facing another month on the sidelines.
The 30-year-old has been to Barcelona to see a specialist about his knee issues, which can be traced back to a crunching challenge by Sergio Aguero in December 2016.
Luiz is also suffering from an ankle injury and club doctors have determined the Brazilian faces another four weeks out before he will be back in first-team contention.

Being ruled out for March means he will also miss Chelsea’s Champions League return trip to Barcelona. Luiz’s last appearance was in a 4-1 league loss to Watford more than a month ago.
Young centre-back Andreas Christensen, 21, has committed errors lately, including against Barca in Europe’s elite competition and Manchester City in the Premier League.
Despite that, Antonio Conte is expected to persist with the starlet in his back three when they play Crystal Palace this Saturday evening.
Yet the option of Luiz on the bench would be helpful for the Italian as they aim to stay in contention for a top-four finish.
