David Walliams transforms into Kim Jong-un at Halloween

He is a flamboyant TV personality who isn’t afraid to ignite controversy.

And David Walliams sent jaws dropping as he transformed into North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un for Jonathan Ross’ Halloween party on Tuesday.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 46, bore a striking resemblance to the leader as he donned a black suit, complete with red lapel pins portraying previous rulers Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il.

David had clearly gone the extra mile for his Halloween costume, with his chocolate locks dyed and slicked back while he appeared to have pushed back his hairline.

The star looked over the moon despite his controversial costume choice as he strutted into the venue with fans clamorouring around him. 

Kim Jong-un took over the leadership of North Korea upon the death of his father Kim Jong-il in 2011.

He is known for his strict regime and ruthless personality.

David shot to fame in BAFTA nominated series Little Britain, is a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, has released 10 children’s books and in 2011 raised more than £2 million for Sports Relief by swimming 140 miles down the River Thames.

He was awarded an OBE in June. 

David was previously married to Dutch model Lara Stone and the pair share four-year-old son Alfred.

In 2015 they called an end to their five-year union and were granted a decree nisi in a hearing lasting less than 60 seconds on Thursday morning.

David cited Lara’s ‘unreasonable behaviour’ for the ‘quickie divorce’, with their case being put through alongside 20 other couples.
