Dawn French joked that she has turned into the famous spiritual medium Derek Acora with her short grey hairstyle on Friday.
The actress, 64, took to Instagram and Twitter to share a picture of her locks slicked back alongside a snap of Derek – who died last January aged 69 -, with the pair looking very similar.
She wrote in the caption: ‘I loved Derek Acorah… but I don’t want to BE him… what’s happened?!?!’

Dawn has been rocking her short grey hair recently and recently showed off a twisted hairstyle as she waited for it to grow out.
Derek was best known for Living TV’s Most Haunted, a reality TV series that followed a team of paranormal experts as they investigated haunted locations.
Most Haunted ran from 2002 to 2010 although it returned in an online edition and on Really TV at various times until 2019.

He departed as the show’s guest medium after six series in 2005 over claims of fakery.
Derek, who was born Derek Johnson in Bootle, Merseyside, made a cameo appearance in the 2006 Doctor Who episode Army of Ghosts and entered the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2017, finishing in fourth place.
Dawn initially showed off her hair transformation back in June last year and has since shared a slew of ‘hair updates’ to social media.
She told her social media followers that she trimmed off more of her locks, with her husband Mark Bignell even comparing her to The Chase star Anne Hegerty.

Sharing a duo of snaps of her new shorter tresses, Dawn penned: ‘Hair update. 3 shades of grey (working up to the 50).
‘I’ve chopped even more off. I’m thinking I’m giving it solid Jamie Lee Curtis. Husband says I’m giving it full Anne Hegerty…. Righto.

Dawn’s fans and celebrity pals were quick to heap praise on her new look, with one writing: ‘Oh yes Dawn. So Devil wears Prada. I bloody love it x.’
Another penned: ‘Looking great Dawn xxx’, and a third gushed: ‘Go for it!! You look amazing. love these glasses too. X.’
With another adding: ‘Love thiiiiis I love that you’re embracing the grey! It looks so chic on you.’
Dawn initially ditched her trademark style in favour of a bold new look to embrace the fact that she’s going grey and shared her hair transformation with her followers.

In the first picture, Dawn showed off the natural colour transformation.
Even more dramatically, in the second picture, Dawn lifted up her locks to reveal her brand new undercut – with the silver colouring in line with her approach to embrace going grey.
Captioning her two new photos, Dawn wrote: ‘Going lighter bit by bit to happily welcome the grey… with an undercut surprise..! Hello there woman in her 60s….’
