A young man is under police guard in hospital after a 91-year-old man was found dead in Sydney’s southwest.
The elderly man, who’s believed to have been stabbed, was discovered by NSW Police officers at about 9:15pm on Wednesday night at a home in Roselands.
Fire and Rescue NSW had to be called to the scene after two officers suffered minor chemical burns.

They were treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to St George Hospital. The officers have since been released.
A 24-year-old man was arrested at about 11:15pm and taken to hospital where he remains under police guard.
NSW Police are investigating if the incident is domestic violence-related.
