Terror as a massive crane collapses and destroys a house but residents make a lucky escape

A concrete pumping truck crane has collapsed and demolished a house near Brisbane with the occupants making a narrow escape.

Emergency crews were called to the house at Deebing Heights in Ipswich on Friday morning after the crane toppled and smashed into what appears to be a recently built house. 

Queensland Ambulance said about 11.20am they had cleared the scene and no patients required transport to hospital.

The concrete pumping truck was parked at a building site over the road from the house where it had its crane raised before falling on its side across the entire street.

Pictures show the extended crane tore through the building’s roof and walls.
