Member for Gippsland East Tim Bull said a deer population ‘explosion’ has seen more work for panel beaters in eastern Victoria.

‘Our panel beaters are certainly getting a lot of work out of deer,’ Mr Bull told Radio 3AW.

‘It doesn’t help when the signs are getting nicked… motorists aren’t warned and it’s not ideal.’

‘The bottom line is that they (deer road signs) are very popular in man caves because of the deer logo.

‘It’s as simple as that.’

The local MP suggested using a more generic road that wouldn’t be so tempting for men to steal and put in their sheds.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted the Department of Wildlife Victoria for comment.
