A video posted online shows the moment people rescued a deer that had become trapped in a pool in Houston in early September.

The deer tried several times to clamber out of the pool but could not until he was helped by the people in the water.
Cam Heathcutt his and family members said they were cutting drywall at his in-laws flooded home when they spotted the deer struggling in the water.

As the deer attempted to climb out, the two men pushed him out of the pool. The deer promptly collapsed in exhaustion on the side of the pool.
One of the men rubbed his leg in an attempt to calm him down.
