Dehydrated dog wakes in the night to sip on water

Ridiculously funny pictures posted to Twitter show a dehydrated dog still wrapped in a blanket take a break from his slumber to sip on some water.

Sarah Colvin’s dad sent her some snaps via text message last week to show the cute incident that took place in his San Francisco home.

‘I heard a noise from our bathroom last night. I looked and saw a blanket that was making slurping noises at Lucy’s dish,’ dad David wrote.

‘Lucy had been sleeping with a blanket as a cover… when she got up to drink, the blanket stayed like a robe. It fell just before getting back in bed. Mental mutt.’

While another added: ‘Hey, it gets dry in the winter! Mine ends up panting in the night. Luckily, her mom loves ice in drinks, and shares with her regularly!’
