Posting a photo of herself and her eldest daughter standing in a park, Ella wrote in full: ‘Two years ago today I became a mama. Skye burst into the world in the most characteristic way, beautifully unexpected and a little dramatic with my waters breaking before one of my oldest friends weddings.

‘For the seven years before she was born deliciously ella really was my whole life. Matthew, our CEO and my husband, and I, worked side by side all day everyday and poured our absolute heart and soul into the company.

‘Since Skye was born, and even more so since May May arrived, I’ve been trying to juggle life as a founder and my passion with truly having an impact on our collective health, alongside being the most dedicated and present mama that I can be.’

The doting mother went on: ‘It’s certainly a challenging balance to strike and not something I’ve felt I’ve got right on so many occasions, something that I’m sure so many parents can relate to.

‘I’ve found myself withdrawing a little from sharing more personal details here, motherhood has certainly heightened a sense of vulnerability and that has trickled through into feeling more scared of criticism than I did before.’

Ella concluded: ‘I’ve started to break down these feelings over the last few weeks, following a bout of covid in the house (for everyone except me) and a trip to hospital for Matthew for pneumonia.

‘Two babies and a pandemic in two years has definitely drained me but I’m so excited to be finding my spark again and forging my identity as a mama, a founder, a wife and a friend.’ [sic]

The mother-of-two did not provide her followers with an update on her husband’s condition in the caption, however last week shared a photo of herself, Matthew and their daughters at the seaside, suggesting he is now COVID free and out of isolation.

Speaking to the Sunday Telegraph last year, Ella reflected on her quick growth.

‘I wasn’t ready for how quickly Deliciously Ella grew. People look to you for the answers that you’re still figuring out yourself.

‘I was petrified, honestly, I really was. I found it really terrifying, and I was almost too scared to have an opinion, because you can’t make everyone happy.’
