The news comes after Us Weekly reported last week that Wilmer was ‘shocked’ and ‘devastated’ by the Sorry Not Sorry singer’s relapse after six years of sobriety.

‘She’s been honest with him about her relapse, as she has with her family, friends, fans and the entire public, especially with her new song [Sober], but he didn’t think it was this severe and that she would be struggling so much and have a situation that had these repercussions.

Reports have also claimed that Demi will be heading straight to rehab once she’s feeling well enough to leave hospital.

The brunette beauty managed to remain sober for six years before hinting recently that she had fallen off the bandwagon when she released her single ‘Sober’, in which she tells her friends, family and fans that she’s hit the bottle once again and she’s ‘sorry’ for letting them down.

However, the extent of her issues weren’t fully understood until Demi – who has battled with cocaine addiction in the past – was rushed to hospital last week following a suspected overdose.

A law enforcement source confirmed she was given Narcan when she was found, a medication that’s used to try and reverse an opioid overdose.
