Ita Buttrose abruptly left her role on Studio 10 on Wednesday after months of rumoured tensions between her and co-host Denise Drysdale.
And both women have done little to quell the media storm around their now-infamous Brussels sprout throwing incident from last November.
In separate radio interviews on Thursday night and Friday morning, the TV presenters spoke about their rivalry.

Ita told KIIS FM’s Celebrity HQ that Denise had thrown a ‘bowlful’ of sprouts at her last year, while Denise joked on The Kyle and Jackie O Show that she wished she had ‘hurled a turkey’.
‘I don’t really want to talk about Brussels sprout gate, but I will just for once,’ Ita told Celebrity HQ hosts Zoe Marshall and John Caldwell on Thursday.
‘It was not just one sprout, it was a bowlful,’ she said. ‘I didn’t throw any sprouts, I was working.’

‘I’m sorry Denise feels like that but there you go. Actually, if it weren’t for me she wouldn’t have the job at all,’ Ita said.
On Friday morning, Denise appeared on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, telling the hosts she was shocked at the publicity the incident had generated.

‘With this Brussels sprouts thing, if I’d have known it was going to get so much publicity I’d have hurled a turkey,’ Denise joked.
‘It’s just something I’ve done. I’ve done things in the past that I probably shouldn’t have done, but I’m still here.’
Denise denied it had been a bowlful of Brussels sprouts, however.
She said: ‘It was on the roast turkey that we had done for the shoot, it was just looking at me saying, ”Throw me”.’
During the interview, Denise admitted Ita had helped assist her arrival on Studio 10.

‘That is probably true, because she was doing five days a week and when she decided to go to two days a week that’s when I got asked to do the show,’ she said.
