The festival premieres movies around the world and attracts some of the biggest names to the sun-soaked Italian island.

Quaid tied the knot with Savoie in June of 2020 in Santa Barbara, California after they began dating in May of 2019.

Appearing on the TODAY show in July of 2020, Quaid said that neither paid any mind to the 39-year age gap in the romance.

‘There’s 30-something years between us, and we just don’t even notice it,’ the actor-musician said. ‘I’ve never related to someone in my life better than we do.

‘We have such a great relationship and you know, love finds a way, wherever it is. You never know when love is coming, who it’s gonna be, and you have no control over it. We just couldn’t be happier.’

He told People in December that the pair enjoy ‘the most incredible relationship,’ and called Savoie ‘the love of my life.’

The actor was past in three marriages, to Kimberly Buffington between 2004 and 2018, to Meg Ryan from 1991-2001 and to P.J. Soles from 1978 until 1983. He’s father to son Jack, 29, with his Innerspace costar Ryan; and twins Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace, 14, with Buggington.

Quaid, who portrayed singer Jerry Lee Lewis in the 1989 movie Great Balls of Fire, has had longtime ties to music, as he’s the singer and guitarist in his band, The Sharks.

‘Music really got me through life,’ he told the outlet last year. ‘It always has. Music is like therapy. I’ve been writing songs, and now I have a journal of my entire life through songs that I’ve written through the decades.’

The Hollywood stalwart, famed for films such as Traffic, Everybody’s All-American, Any Given Sunday and American Underdog is gearing up to star in another biopic, Reagan, in the lead role of 40th President Ronald Reagan in the movie Reagan.

He will be joined in the cast by Mena Suvari, Jon Voight, Penelope Ann Miller and Kevin Dillon.
