Desperate AFL stars scramble for Taylor Swift tickets along with the rest of Australia as one surprising footy player is revealed as a superfan
She has billions of fans around the world, and now a big name AFL star has revealed he is also a dedicated ‘Swiftie’.
On Wednesday, Collingwood player Mason Cox proudly announced he scored tickets to the pop superstar’s Melbourne show next year.
And the towering footy champ, who stands at a whopping 2.11 metres tall, sent out a dire warning to fellow concertgoers.
‘I want to sincerely apologise in advance for who has tickets behind me at the Taylor Swift concert,’ he declared in his post.
‘I know you paid a lot but I don’t care. T Swift is more important.’

Sharing his tweet to Instagram, Mason told fellow fans there was a ‘1 in a 100,000 you’ll be behind me.’
‘May the odds be forever in your favour,’ he jokingly added in the caption.
Meanwhile, another AFL legend Sam Mitchell was not quite as lucky as Mason.
The Hawthorn coach appeared on SEN to talk about his recent induction into the AFL Hall of fame.
But Sam went off topic during the chat to ask listeners for Swift tickets for his teen age daughters.
‘I think most of my week was actually around trying to get Taylor Swift tickets for my 12 year-old daughters,’ he said.

Telling listeners he had no luck so far in getting the hottest tickets around and he did not want to let down his girls, Sam added: ‘Just taking a bit of licence here – if anyone can hook my two daughters and my wife up I will do just about anything.’
Swift’s current world jaunt, which began in March, is on track to become the highest-grossing music tour of all time.
Both the Sydney and Melbourne pre-sales sold out hours after the release was available to the public.
Ticketek saw record-breaking numbers on Wednesday when four million Swift fans ‘queued’ for a shot at tickets to her 2024 Aussie tour.
Meanwhile, another AFL legend Sam Mitchell was not quite as lucky as Mason, asking listeners on SEN if they had tickets to the show
Just hours after fans were left disgruntled when pre-sale sold out, a Ticketek insider revealed they had all wasted their time.
Frustrated Swifties waited for hours with their browsers open believing they were holding a place in the queue, but it turns out there was never a line to begin with.
‘Everyone in the Ticketek lounge has an equal opportunity to get into the site regardless of when they have arrived,’ a spokesperson said, adding that it made the process ‘fair’.
Which means fans who logged into pre-sale 15 minutes beforehand had as good a chance getting a ticket as those who waited nine hours hunched over their laptops.
