Desperate search for man who fell off Tower Bridge

Police are urgently searching the Thames after reports a man fell off Tower Bridge last night.

The man – described as black and wearing dark clothes – has not been identified. 

But several witnesses reported seeing him fall from the iconic bridge at about 5.50pm. 

City of London Police said officers are searching the area in a desperate bid to find any trace of the man.

A CCTV still has been released in the hope of identifying him. 

Police asked: ‘Were you on or near Tower Bridge at the time? Do you remember seeing what happened? If so, we want to hear from you.

‘If you can help the investigation, please contact the City of London Police immediately by calling 020 7601 2999. 

‘Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.’
