Just days away from his son Devin facing Ryan Garcia for the WBC super lightweight title at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Bill Haney made a controversial warning towards the challenger.

On Tuesday, the two boxers went on top of the Empire State Building for promotion and engaged in a faceoff with the Manhattan skyline in the background.

In the same event where his son shoved his rival away in front of media members, Haney made it clear they are ready for Garcia to die in the ring come Saturday.

‘He disrespected boxing, he disrespected people, he disrespected the sport,’ Haney told the press. ‘If he dies, he dies, just like [Ivan] Drago said.’

‘This ain’t no game,’ he continued. ‘I’m sending my son to go kill him.’

Throughout the buildup to the fight, many have questioned Garcia’s well-being and preparation due to his social media activity.

The Victorville, California native sparked concerns with his bizarre behavior, which included claims that he was murdered and tied up by ‘the elites’ at Bohemian Grove.

Garcia also claimed that an earthquake would destroy Hollywood and Las Vegas and labeled Elon Musk as the Antichrist. Additionally, Garcia claimed to have kissed podcast host Bobbi Althoff after saying: ‘Bobbi f***ed Drake and that’s why she got a divorce she cool.’

With the Haneys taking offense to Garcia’s apparent lack of seriousness and focus toward the fight, Bill doubled down on his sentiments in another video.

‘Enough is enough, I told my son: ‘Go in there and kill him,” Haney said. ‘And that’s what it’s gonna be. So if you don’t want your kids to watch this s**t, then put them to bed because that’s where we’re gonna put Ryan too.’

‘We’re gonna finally put him to bed and that bulls**t that he [has] been doing,’ he continued. ‘Ain’t no boxing – it’s a fight. And Mr. Ryan Garcia, bring your punk ass to the center of the ring and that’s where it’s going to be decided at.’

Garcia is heading into April 20 with a 24-1 record and 20 knockouts, with his lone defeat coming against Gervonta Davis in April 2023. He has since bounced back with a win over Oscar Duarte in December.

Meanwhile, Haney’s son Devin is undefeated, with 31 wins and 15 knockouts. He is coming off two consecutive wins against George Kambosos Jr, followed by victories over Vasiliy Lomachenko and Regis Prograis.
