‘Doria would not get a look in!’ Paul Burrell says Princess Diana would ‘be in her element’ and ‘thrilled to bits’ at the birth of Harry and Meghan’s baby son

Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell has said that the Princess would be ‘thrilled to bits’ with the birth of Harry and Meghan’s son.
The Duchess of Sussex gave birth to her first child, which weighed 7lbs 3oz, yesterday at 5.26am.
Today Mr Burrell told Good Morning Britain that if Harry’s mother was still alive, Meghan’s wouldn’t have got a look-in.

Doria Ragland was with the new parents yesterday at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, Berkshire, as the celebrated the happy occasion.
Speaking to Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid on ITV this morning, Mr Burrell was asked how the princess would feel about her grandchild.
He told them: ‘She’d be in her element wouldn’t she? Doria would not get a look in. She’d have been thrilled to bits.’
And he also addressed speculation about the possibility of Harry and Meghan going to live in Africa.

Mr Burrell suggested that the move could be a way of the two continuing Diana’s charity work.
The princess was famed for her work raising awareness about landmines still posing a threat to innocents in countries ravaged by war in previous years.
This morning, Mr Burrell was said that the move would be a way ‘to fulfil Diana’s work and her dreams’, adding ‘it’s very important for them to continue’ it.
His remarks came after it was revealed that Meghan was forced to forego the home birth she’d wanted and gave birth at London’s Portland Hospital.
