Diane Lane stuns at the TIFF premiere of Mark Felt

Diane Lane looked every inch the movie star when she stepped out for the premiere of her new movie, Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down The White House, at the Toronto International Film Festival on Monday. 

Stepping out in a knee-length cobalt blue gown, the 52-year-old actress was all smiles as she posed on the red carpet ahead of the screening.

The classic cut dress featured lace paneling on one side and ruffle detailing on one shoulder.

The Paris Can Wait actress accessorized with a silver cuff and carried a black clutch purse.

She also donned strappy black high heels.

Her shoulder-length brown hair was worn loose in soft waves, and her makeup was understated.

Joining the Justice League star at the premiere was Sony Pictures Classics co-president and co-founder Michael Barker, the film’s director and writer Peter Landesman, co-stars Josh Lucas and Tony Goldwyn, and fellow Sony Pictures Classics co-president and co-founder Tom Bernard.

The group all posed for photos together on the red carpet ahead of the screening, with the movie likely to generate Oscars buzz. 

Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down The White House is based on the real-life story of Mark Felt, the FBI agent who tipped off journalists Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward during the Watergate scandal.

Felt’s damning information led to the eventual resignation of Republican President Richard Nixon in 1974, after his administration was discovered to have attempted to sabotage the Democrat party.

The film also stars Liam Neeson as the infamous whistleblower. 

Diane stars as his wife, Audrey, who assisted Mark during his mission to bring down the White House.

The film is set to hit cinemas on September 29.
