He was scheduled to interview The Bachelor’s newest couple – Matty J and winner Laura Byrne – following the show’s season finale on Thursday.

During the interview, Jackie O took the reigns with comedian and KIIS FM drive time host Dave Hughes filling in for Kyle.
With Matty and Laura both speaking about their time on the Network Ten series and plans for the future, the interview went swimmingly.
The pair discussed everything from Matty’s relationship with the other contestants to the possibility of him proposing in the finale.

While appearing on The Kyle And Jackie O Show in August, Matty confronted Kyle about his reason’s for disliking him.

Kyle instead said that because Matty had read about the comments, rather than heard them on air, he didn’t catch Kyle’s ‘tone’.
However the FM radio host doubled down on his most controversial comment, which was that Matty resembled a cancer patient.
The 46-year-old explained that what he meant by the ‘cancer’ comment was that Matty looks like ‘a skeleton that had skin thrown on it’.
