‘It’s going to be really interesting to see what happens when he gets close to his 1000th goal mark, because the players will all want him to reach it and I wonder if its going to change their game.’

Allison added that she will be attending the AFL grand final and expects to see Buddy on the field.

‘I’ll be down there even if the Swans aren’t in the grand final but we both know they will be,’ she said.

Buddy, having played just one AFL game in the past 21 months, made his return to the field in March, tackling Adelaide at the SCG.

In an interview with News Corp, the AFL star revealed he swears by ice baths to maintain his buff physique.

‘I have an ice bath every day. They assist in reducing any inflammation and improve recovery,’ he said.

‘For me it’s just about overall health and wellness. I have a varied training program that has been tailored to keeping my body performing at its best,’ he added.

Buddy credits ice baths with helping to keep him in peak condition on the back of a stellar 17-year career in the AFL.
