Inside a dietitian’s fridge: Health expert reveals exactly what she stocks up on each week – and what she typically eats to stay in shape

Dietitian Leanne Ward has offered a glimpse inside her healthy fridge, complete with fresh fruits and vegetables, kimchi, free-range eggs, and even beer.

The Australian nutrition expert said she always keeps her fridge fully stocked with colorful ingredients to ensure she stays in shape.

‘My fully stocked and colorful fridge makes healthy living so easy,’ Leanne, who’s known as The Fitness Dietitian, said in an Instagram post.

‘Let’s start from the top and I’ll be real with you guys – yes there’s beer in our fridge. David [partner] said I should probably remove it for the photo but you guys know me and I’ll always give you the truth.

‘Being 100 percent healthy is hard and it’s also pretty unsustainable. If you like a beer or a wine, you can include it in a lifelong healthy lifestyle.’

On the top shelf of her refrigerator, Leanne said there’s a ‘nearly empty container of cold-pressed coffee with raspberries sitting on top.

Other items include natural yogurt, ‘overripe’ kiwi fruits, kimchi for salads, a bag of red grapes, honey soy tofu for stir-fries, and a cucumber ‘that I’ll dip into hummus’.

‘On the second shelf are free-range eggs, potatoes (only in the fridge for the photo), green apples (snacks), tomatoes, and zucchini which I use with my omelets,’ she said.

‘Third shelf is Asian greens, mushrooms, and capsicum for stir-fries (with the tofu). There’s some chocolate hidden behind there too.

‘Fourth shelf is parsley (to put in my mashed potato along with the natural yogurt and garlic), more stir fry veggies (capsicum, pumpkin, and broccoli), and fresh limes to add to our soda water.

She joked: ‘One day my fridge will take revenge on me. Every half hour it’ll come to my room, open my door, staring at me for two minutes then it will leave.’

It’s not the first time Leanne offered a glimpse inside her healthy fridge.

Earlier this year, she shared a snap of her fridge, which included her fresh produce and nine containers of her delicious meal preps.

‘[My] meals include my famous chicken turmeric curry, stir-fried tofu noodles with veggies, and high fiber pasta with chicken and steamed veggies,’ she said.

Other items included sparkling mineral water, salmon fillets, pork fillets, egg whites, zucchini, and mushrooms to make omelets.

For snacks, she has carrots, dark chocolates, nuts, and grain crackers with cheese.
