Rae Delgado, a Disney cast member, wrote on Facebook that Lear had suffered a fractured skull and brain swelling due to the incident.

According to Delgado, Lear had been traveling on the rear of the golf cart alongside three passengers when they hit a bump in the road.

Lear is said to have ‘reacted immediately’ and reached out to grab a handrail, which gave way and ‘sent her out of the vehicle’.

Delgado said: ‘Doctors performed surgery on her to prevent further damage but it was beyond.’

Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock said in a statement: ‘We are heartbroken by the loss of Bonnye and offer our sincere condolences to everyone who cared for her

‘At this time, we are focused on supporting her family and our cast members through this tragic event and making sure they have the resources they need.’

Delgado claims that her and her fellow cast members were told to keep quiet about the incident, which she vehemently disagrees with.

‘Managers are telling [cast members] to not speak about the circumstances of Bonnye’s death to others,’ she wrote on Facebook. ‘They’re asking for silence. They want it to be forgotten.’

Disneyland cast members, were reportedly ‘terribly upset’ to learn about the passing of their colleague.

Lear, a longtime cast member of 24 years, worked in membership services at the exclusive Club 33.

Disney theme parks vlogger ‘Just Ask Danny’ who used to work with Lear at Disneyland expressed his sympathies online.

‘She was quite literally the kindest human who worked at the Disneyland Resort,’ he wrote in a post on X. ‘This is truly very sad for her family and fellow Cast at the Club.’

DailyMail.com has approached Disney over allegations made by Delgado about ‘silencing’ cast members.
