Ncuti Gatwa cut a suave figure as he joined Anita Dobson to film festive scenes for Doctor Who in Bristol on Wednesday.
The Sex Education star, 30, appeared to be in jovial spirits as he transformed into The Doctor while shooting Christmas scenes on a residential street.
He was joined by EastEnders legend Anita, 73, who will be playing Mrs Flood, the elderly neighbour to The Doctor’s companion Ruby Sunday, played by Millie Gibson.
Ncuti is joining the cast of the upcoming series of Doctor Who next year as the titular Time Lord, taking over the role from Jodie Whittaker and David Tennant.
And he didn’t shy away from getting stuck into the role as he filmed exciting scenes in Bristol this week, where he was seen chatting to Anita.

Ncuti cut a dapper figure in a zip-up orange striped collared top and blue trousers, which he styled with a vibrant pair of trainers.
He accessorised his suave look with a gold pendant and sported a well-groomed moustache to complete his costume.
Ncuti was surrounded by festive decorations, including tinsel and wreathes, as he appeared to be shooting scenes for his first episode, the 2024 Christmas special.
Also spotted on set was the iconic TARDIS, which is The Doctor’s time machine, disguised in the form of a blue police box.
In-between takes, Ncuti was seen wrapping up in a red dry robe as he kept warm amid the chilly temperatures.
He was joined for the scenes by Anita, who cut a casual figure in a white shirt and a pink padded jacket, which she wore underneath a navy coat.
Anita, best known for her role as Angie Watts in EastEnders, kept comfortable in white trainers as she sat on a chair covered by a grey blanket.
It comes after Anita let slip the name of her Doctor Who character and what her role will entail while speaking exclusively with MailOnline.

While attending the ICON Awards in Support of Prostate Cancer Charity in February, she gushed about playing Mrs Flood, the elderly neighbour to Millie’s Ruby Sunday.
She brushed off talk of playing a lead part in the show, admitting: ‘I wouldn’t say starring, I think the Lord himself, Ncuti and Millie are the ones starring, I’m merely joining the ranks of.
‘Well Mrs Flood is the character I play and she’s… Millie, the Ruby Sunday, the doctor’s assistant, she’s her neighbour.
‘She lives in the same street so she’s always got her eyes on what’s going on. She’s one of those.’
In February, she also said she hadn’t yet filmed any scenes with Ncuti, with Wednesday’s filming marking some of the first moments they have shot together.
The star-studded cast for the upcoming series will also feature two-time RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Jinkx Monsoon.
The actor, 35 – who goes by the pronouns she/they – will be portraying the new baddie in the BBC science fiction TV series.

Doctor Who returns in November 2023 with three special episodes to coincide with the show’s 60th anniversary, with David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor.
The Fifteenth Doctor, played by Ncuti, will then take control of the TARDIS, with his first episode airing over the festive period next year.
In October, Jodie Whittaker stepped down from her role as The Doctor, replaced by returning star David for the upcoming anniversary episodes.
In Jodie’s last episode, fans were given a glimpse of Ncuti’s version of The Doctor as he was briefly featured in a teaser trailer along with David.
