Dodgers star rips Fat Joe at World Series parade in LA after rapper’s performance at Yankee Stadium

Los Angeles Dodgers star Kike Hernandez took some time during his team’s World Series victory parade to roast the New York Yankees for bringing rapper Fat Joe out during Game 3.

Fat Joe was already roasted by multiple MLB fans in the immediate aftermath of his appearance during the World Series, but Hernandez kept the jokes rolling as the Dodgers celebrated winning the franchise’s eighth championship.

Joe’s appearance came after the Dodgers brought out former NWA member Ice Cube for Game 2 of the series.

‘Ice Cube came out in Game 2, and with his performance we didn’t even need to play the game – we had already won it,’ Hernandez said at the victory celebration.

‘Then we go to New York, and this guy – he used to be fat, he’s not fat anymore. His name is Joe. He came out and sang, and guess what, we didn’t need to play anymore because after that performance we had already won.’

The Dodgers were up 2-0 in the series by the time the games shifted to New York and the Yankees decided to bring out some hip-hop royalty to get the crowd riled up.

Unfortunately, Fat Joe’s performance struck the wrong chord with the audience and he was eviscerated on social media.

‘That man Fat Joe on the mound in Tims,’ read a caption of screen shots of Fat Joe during the performance that was posted to X, formerly Twitter. ‘I KNOW them groundskeepers off camera having a heart attack.’

‘Fat Joe opening up for the Yankees might be one of the worst things I’ve ever witnessed,’ a second added.

‘Who thought this Fat Joe performance before #WorldSeries Game 3, in the middle of the field all by himself, was a good idea,’ a third chimed in. ‘Man is having to Ab lib almost all three songs instead of the actual words.’

The Dodgers were able to inspire a 4-2 win after Ice Cube’s performance in Game 2.

The Yankees? Not so lucky. They lost 4-2 again and faced elimination.

While New York was able to rebound in Game 4, their calamitous fifth inning in Game 5 saw them surrender a five run lead and essentially gifted the Dodgers the title.
