Dog owners have pets tattooed on their skin

Dog owners paid tribute to their pets by having their faces inked on to their skin
Some of them used the tattoos as a way to commemorate a pet after death
Others used it simply as a way to show their devotion to their four-legged friend

These committed dog owners proved just how much their pets mean to them by having their furry faces inked onto their skin.

From regal Retrievers to scruffy terriers, the detailed pet portraits depict beloved pooches of all shapes and sizes.

Some grieving owners used the tattoos as a way to commemorate a pooch that had passed away, while others simply wanted to show their devotion.

A handful of owners photographed their dogs alongside their tattoo, revealing just how lifelike some of them are.

The images were shared on social media by owners around the world, with many of them featuring on the Tattoo Beautiful website.
