Dolly Parton reveals she has slept in her makeup EVERY NIGHT for decades so she’s ‘camera ready’ in case of an emergency

Dolly Parton has revealed that she’s been sleeping in her makeup every night for decades in case of an ’emergency’.

The Hollywood actress, 77, admitted that she chooses to sleep in a full face of glam in case she’s spotted by unexpected photographers in the streets.

In her new book, Behind The Seams: My Life In Rhinestones, Dolly confessed the habit began in the 1980s.

She wrote: ‘When I arrived in LA in the 80s, I started sleeping with my makeup on, partly because of the earthquakes’.

‘I thought, “I’m not heading out on the streets without makeup in case there are cameras out there! I’m going to be ready to go!”‘

Although she sleeps in her full face of makeup, Dolly admitted that she makes sure to properly clean her face in the morning, before reapplying another layer.

She added: ‘It doesn’t matter when you clean your face as long as you clean it once a day. After I wake up, I do all the little rituals, and then I start over again and go out every day and look good all day long.’
