Domenica Calarco hits back after she was accused of shaming Tamara Djordjevic

Domenica Calarco has defended herself after she was accused of ‘not supporting women’ by mocking her former Married At First Sight co-star Tamara Djordjevic.

The 29-year-old had shamed Tamara during an appearance on the Happy Hour podcast this week after rumours surfaced she was interested in joining OnlyFans.

She told her ‘don’t even bother’ because no one would subscribe to her exclusive content – a remark some of her fans thought was degrading and sexist.

Domenica, who portrayed herself as a feminist icon after her own OnlyFans furore on MAFS, addressed the criticism in the Facebook group for her podcast Sit With Us.

‘I understand some people may be upset with the way that I spoke about a certain female, and I understand that wholeheartedly,’ she wrote, refusing to refer to Tamara by name.

‘I can support women and not like an individual. If someone is or has been vile against me, I don’t think there can be any gender generalisation here.

‘I said what I said and some people aren’t going to like it. As a concept I always support women; always have and always will.’

Domenica went on to say she hopes for ‘a gender balance in the world’, and her remarks about Tamara had ‘nothing to do with supporting or not supporting women’.

While she will always champion other women, she said, she won’t allow herself to be ‘pushed around by disingenuous manipulators’.

The controversy began when Domenica said of Tamara on the Happy Hour podcast: ‘Babe, to be honest with you, don’t even bother [joining OnlyFans] because I don’t even think anyone would be willing to sign up, darl.

‘Even if you’ve got a free subscription!’

After hosts Lucy Jackson and Nikki Westcott gasped in shock, Dom replied: ‘I don’t give a s**t at this point in time.’

‘Like, I have zero [tolerance] for these people because [of] the s**t that I went through and the stuff I had to listen to them say about me on national TV,’ she added.

Dom wasn’t done there, with the fiery influencer also repeatedly taking aim at her on-screen rival Olivia Frazer.

Dom and Olivia memorably feuded on the latest season of Married At First Sight after Olivia and some of the other girls exposed that Dom had an OnlyFans account.

‘She’s on OnlyFans now,’ Dom told the hosts, after Olivia signed up for the website shortly after the season finished airing.

‘I don’t know how somebody goes from doing a teaching degree to then going to start an OnlyFans account,’ she added spitefully.

When asked if she was worried about running into any of her former castmates, including Olivia, Dom said: ‘Olivia’s on the Central Coast, which no one ever goes [to] anyway.’

‘No offence to anyone on the Central Coast!’ she added, before her BFF Ella Ding and the Happy Hour hosts burst out laughing.

Later in the interview, Dom and Ella spoke of how ‘blessed’ they were to walk away from their season as the breakout stars with various endorsement deals and media opportunities.

‘We talk about it all the time, just how blessed and honoured we are,’ Dom gushed. ‘And it comes down to the fact that we just are who we are.’

Ella chimed in: ‘I think in our season what related to everyone the most was friendship and values and morals.’

Fans have had a mixed reaction to the podcast so far, with some backing Dom’s outspoken self-confidence.

‘I love you Dom… keeping it real,’ gushed one, while another wrote: ‘This is gold!’

However, most of the comments called her out for continuing to bash her castmates.

‘The pettiness is evident, has been for months, but why continue body-shaming people?’ commented one.

‘The pot calling the kettle black. There’s no mincing of words here. From the glass-smashing incident to the continuous bullying,’ said another.

‘One podcast she is saying she wants to move on and make amends and the next she is actually like this. How do people accept this behaviour from her?’ a third wrote.

Even Olivia’s on-screen ex-‘husband’ Jackson Lonie chimed in, blasting Domenica for shaming Tamara.

‘Imagine saying you’re all for women and then shaming another woman [by] saying she’s not worthy of any subscribers!’ he raged.

‘And all you have done since the show, Dom, is talk s**t about everyone. It’s time to move on and grow up. It’s been a year.’

Tamara has since responded to the controversy, writing on Instagram: ‘Imagine making your whole personality and career about hating on other people and spreading it as publicly and [as] loudly as this.

'So much for being advocates for other women. I'll continue to offer peace rather than feeding into this continuing toxic narrative,' Olivia fired back

‘I’ve never shared anything before because I don’t care but, like, come on, it’s been a year. Can we move the f**k on?’

Olivia also weighed in by taking the high road, sharing a meme that read: ‘You don’t have to seek revenge. Rotten fruit will fall by itself.’

Explaining the meme, she wrote: ‘Posting this again since me and my friends are being trashed by other women yet again after I’ve extended an olive branch.
