Donald Trump reignites feud with MSNBC’s ‘psycho’ Joe Scarborough and ‘air headed’ Mika Brzezinksi

Donald Trump lashed out at MSNBC’s morning show co-hosts ‘psycho’ Joe Scarborough and ‘airheaded’ Mika Brzezinski Thursday morning in reupping his ongoing feud with the married couple.

‘Very poor morning TV ratings for MSDNC’s Morning Joe, headed by a complete Psycho named Joe Scarborough and his ditzy airhead wife, Mika, and also @CNN, headed by complete unknowns,’ the president posted to Twitter, repeating his common combination of the network name MSNBC and the acronym for the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

He added in the post: ‘Congratulations to @foxandfriends on dominating the mornings (thank you President Trump!).’

Once a Republican representative, Scarborough, who is now registered as an independent, along with his wife have used their platform on MSNBC to bash President Trump at every turn.

Tensions really began to flared between the president and the ‘Morning Joe’ pair back in June 2017, when Trump first dubbed Scarborough as ‘Psycho Joe’ and called Brzezinski ‘Low I.Q. Crazy Mika.’

Scarborough (left) is a former Republican congressman from Florida, who is now registered independent, and previously had a good relationship with Trump (right), claiming in 2015 that his candidacy could ‘shake up’ the Republican primary race

In that same 2017 tweet he then revealed that Brzezinski had shown up to a New Years Eve party at his Mar-a-Lago resort still bleeding from a facelift.

MSNBC responded the same day by condemning the president for bullying and Scarborough and Brzezinski shot back the next morning in a scathing Washington Post op-ed where they claimed ‘Donald Trump is not well.’

The feud continued on Twitter June 30, 2017 after Trump said he watched the show and heard Scarborough issue ‘fake news’ and the television host responded by questioning ‘What is wrong with you?’ and accused the president of constantly lying.

While Trump remained largely silent for the new few years, only occasionally bringing up his disgust with the left-leaning network and its morning show, the feud fully reignited this Spring.

Trump essentially started the years-long bad-blood feud back in June 2017 when he Twitter blasted Brzezinski by publicly claiming  she showed up to a New Years Party at his Mar-a-Lago club 'badly bleeding' from a fresh face lift

In early May, the president tweeted about an old case into the death of a Scarborough aide who died in his Florida office when he was still a representative for the state in the U.S. House.

‘Concast’ should open up a long overdue Florida Cold Case against Psycho Joe Scarborough,’ Trump posted, apparently out of the blue, on May 4, 2020. ‘I know him and Crazy Mika well, used them beautifully in the last Election, dumped them nicely, and will state on the record that he is ‘nuts’. Besides, bad ratings! #OPENJOECOLDCASE’

This launched him into a month-long Twitter rant where he continued to push for the case to be reopened into the late Scarborough staffer Lori Klausutis’ death.

Trump also demanded earlier this summer that Florida reopen a case into the death of Scarborough's former staffer Lori Klausutis, who died in his Florida congressional office

‘I’ve always felt he got away with murder,’ Trump told Fox News Channel’s Brian Kilmeade on the anchor’s radio show in early June. ‘That was my feeling, my very strong feeling, and I do feel it.’

Klausutis, 28 at the time of her death, fell while working in Scarborough’s Florida office and hit her head. The autopsy found no foul play and it was determined that her death was a result of an undiagnosed heart problem that caused her to pass out and fatally hit her head.

Earlier on in the 2016 campaign season, Trump was still friendly with Scarborough and Brzezinski – and he even appeared on their morning show in August 2015, just a few months after announcing he was running for president.

A few months earlier, Scarborough said ahead of Trump’s announcement that if he were to run he could ‘shake up’ the 2016 election.

The tides quickly turned once the campaign got underway and it was obvious Trump appealed to a deep red base rather than bringing a more moderate perspective to the race like some initially anticipated.

MSNBC appears to be Trump’s least favorite television network, as its commentary shows tend to lean left, and he often slams it as ‘MSDNC,’ saying they pander to the Democratic Party and dubs their parent company Comast as ‘Concast.’
