Google searches for the term ‘Kai Trump’ skyrocketed at 10:00 pm on Wednesday, moments after Donald Trump’s eldest grandchild spoke on night three of the Republican National Convention.
Kai, 17, delivered what may have been the most emotional remarks of the evening – being the first of the former president’s grandkids to weigh in on the attempted assassination that nearly took his life.
‘A lot of people have put my grandpa through hell, and he’s still standing,’ she told thousands of cheering GOP delegates. ‘Grandpa, you are such an inspiration and I love you.’
Kai’s father, Donald Trump Jr. beamed with pride as she gushed about the side of President Trump that ‘people don’t often see’.
However, no one in the audience could have been more pleased than Grandpa Trump.

‘To me, he’s just a normal grandpa,’ Kai said. ‘He gives us candy and soda when our parents are not looking. He always wants to know how we’re doing in school. When I made the high honor roll, he printed it out to his friends how proud he was of me.’
Delighted audiences in Milwaukee appeared to adore Kai and so did fans on Instagram, where her following grew from 125,000 to 185,000 overnight.
Even before Kai’s star turn at the RNC convention, she had built a large online following based on her reputation as, perhaps, the best golfer in the Trump clan.
In March, Kai won the ladies’ club championship at Trump International Golf Club West Palm Beach.
Her impressive swing, nearly 260-year drive and dedication to the sport helped earn her the Varsity Captain position at the Benjamin School, a prestigious $37,000-per-year high school in North Palm Beach, from which she is set to graduate in 2026.
The avid sportswoman frequently chronicles her personal training sessions and rigorous gym routines online.
She is reportedly being recruited to play at the collegiate level and her goal, she says, is to go pro.
‘Golf has always been a massive part of my life and is my biggest passion,’ she wrote on her personal website, which features a video highlight reel of her on-course play.
Apart from her athletic pursuits, Kai’s social media accounts provide the public with a glimpse into a very glamorous life away from the golf course.

On June 29, she posted a picture from UFC 303 fight in Nevada where she was a VIP guest of Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White.
Kai poised in the front row of the high-profile event with her father, wearing a trendy all-black ensemble of a lacy black corset top, Louis Vuitton belt and blue bedazzled purse.
The teen mingled with A-listers and posed for pictures with the likes of NFL star Aaron Rodgers and country music artist Jelly Roll.

There are plenty of perks to being a Trump.
Kai is the daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa Trump. They divorced in 2018 after 13 years of marriage.
She is the oldest of their five children, including Donald III, Tristan, Spencer and Chloe.
At 17-years-old Kai is a year younger than her uncle, Barron Trump, who recently appeared with his father at a July 9 campaign rally in Doral, Florida.
And after Wednesday night’s speech, there are signs that Kai’s interests may also be expanding beyond the world of golf into her grandad’s other great passion – politics.
In response to the July 13 Pennsylvania shooting, Kai shared an image of her bloody, wounded grandfather with the caption, ‘We love you Grandpa. Never stop fighting!’ And then reportedly called her father on Monday and asked to speak at the RNC.
Kai’s social media has also noticeably strayed away from her typical golf content in recent days as she has posted snaps from the campaign trail, and as the 2024 election approaches, Kai is already setting herself up as a public figure.
Nine months ago, she created her own YouTube channel to give eager followers new insight into life.

And, perhaps, still growing.
‘Obviously, [President Trump] sets the bar pretty high,’ Kai told the RNC convention crowd of the former president, ‘but who knows, maybe one day I’ll catch him.’
Someone in the audience shouted, ‘Kai Trump 2040!’
