Donna Kelce reveals she won’t text Travis on the day of the Super Bowl and – instead messages her sons ‘nostalgic’ pictures of when they were kids on the night before a game

Donna Kelce has revealed she doesn’t reach out and ‘bother’ her sons on gameday, though the mother of two NFL stars typically sends them a motivational message the night before.

Donna’s younger son, Chiefs tight end Travis, will compete in the Super Bowl this weekend vs. the 49ers but won’t expect to hear from his mother on Sunday

‘I try not to bother them on game day, they are a little busy and I don’t think I am going to get through,’ Donna told the TODAY show.

‘Usually I try the night before – I will text my sons and will give them a little encouragement, send them a little funny picture of when they were younger… a little nostalgia.

Last year, Donna was also at the Super Bowl in Arizona as Travis faced off against the Eagles and his older brother Jason.

Their matchup became a national talking point, leading to a work-filled trip for Donna, but she’ll be kicking her feet up more this year.

‘This year I’m gonna take it a little easier, it’ll be more relaxing. – except for the game,’ she said. ‘But I’m gonna have a good time, see some shows, go to some great restaurants and hopefully a few parties.

Donna also revealed that she will not be sitting in a suite during the big game due to the high prices.

‘You can understand that the boxes in Vegas are multimillion dollars, so I have a feeling I’m not in a box. I have a feeling I’m in the stands,’ she said. 

The cost of suites are astronomical for Sunday’s game in Vegas. They range in price from $180,000 for four tickets to $1.8million for 20 tickets, although those prices have dropped in recent days and at one point were as high as $2.5m.

Donna has been in a suite throughout the NFL season, often sitting alongside Taylor Swift 

Travis is on a $14million-a-year salary with Chiefs, and makes plenty more in off-field endorsements.

Of late, Donna has been seen taking in Chiefs games with Travis’ girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

Swift and Travis debuted their romance in September and she has been a fixture at his games ever since despite her busy touring schedule.

She is playing four shows this week in Tokyo but is expected to fly back to Vegas for the game.
