Donna Mills, 81, is dwarfed by statuesque daughter as they attends premiere of Nope

Knots Landing star Donna Mills was dwarfed by statuesque daughter as they stepped out the UK premiere of Nope in London on Wednesday.

The actress, 81, looked sensational in a glamorous white trouser suit as she posed for a photo with the influencer, 27. 

Looking simply sensational, Donna defied her years in her sophisticated ensemble that featured a pretty lace overlay. 

Despite boosting her height with a pair of suede heels, the star’s daughter, who she adopted in 1994, towered above her. 

Donna styled her bright blonde locks into soft curls and opted for a soft smokey eyeshadow and radiant makeup palette to enhance her incredible complexion.

Donna appeared to be having the time of her life as she put on a very animated display on the blue carpet. 

The film, Nope, stars Daniel Kaluuya as the lead character, Otis Jr., and follows the story of the ranch owner as he attempts to capture footage of a UFO, after objects falling from the sky killed his father. 

Donna may be best known for her role in the Dallas spinoff – but the actress has now claimed that she had a hand in the creation of an even more well-known on-screen character: Sandy from Grease.

According to the soap opera icon, when it came to finding inspiration for the famous role – which was played by Olivia Newton-John in the 1978 musical movie – one of the film’s writers used her as his muse for the blond bombshell.  

Donna made the claim in an Instagram video posted to her account on Monday, when she shared a clip of herself transforming into Sandy, while revealing how she helped to inspire the iconic character.

After posing in Sandy’s iconic black leather jacket look, Donna then stated: ‘Did you know I went to school with Jim Jacobs? Jim Jacobs who wrote Grease? Jim Jacobs who used me as his model for Sandy?’

She then continued: ‘I didn’t know it at the time but I found out years later – I was the original Sandy.’

Jim Jacobs co-wrote the 1972 Broadway musical with his late friend Warren Casey, which went on to spawn Randal Kleisers’ iconic 1978 flick starring John Travolta as Danny Zuko alongside Newton-John.

Both Jacobs and Mills both grew up in Chicago and attended Taft High School.

The video had originally been posted by makeup artist Brett Freedman on TikTok, who captioned the clip: ‘Uh, yeah, @thedonnamills & I are now besties and doing TikToks together… so that’s what time it is here.

‘In June ‘78 Grease premiered in theaters! Sugar & spice a la Donna Mills.’

He continued: ‘Fun Fact: Grease writer Jim Jacobs modeled the character Sandy on Donna Mills. They went to school together back in the day and seems she left quite the muse-y impression!’
