Australia’s first ‘energy doughnut’ has been launched by treat shop Donut King and contains the all-important guarana ingredient.
The caffeine-laden ball of dough is being shared online as the doughnut ‘which will improve you a bit’ and promises to be a flavour sensation.
After the announcement was made by Donut King on social media, fans were divided over whether they’d try the cryptonite-coloured candy.

‘This could be an alternative on those mornings when you usually have a can of V at work,’ one excited fan said, tagging a friend in the comment section.
‘I wanna try it but I don’t wanna die haha,’ another added.

There was some initial skepticism from customers who assumed the unusual flavour was an April Food’s joke.
But alas, it isn’t – with more than one person admitting to buying one.
‘Guys it’s actually not an April Fool’s joke I literally saw it and posters up in shops in Penrith,’ someone wrote on Facebook.
Another loyal consumer shared a snap of the product, admitting it is like ‘eating one big sour gummy worm’ and it ‘wasn’t too bad.’
They can be purchased from any Donut King stores for $4 a pop, and there is currently a deal which allows you to buy a V with it for an extra $2.
